Writing in the real world is different; academia, with all due respect, does not take the cake. To read vivid descriptions of distant locations, of islands surrounded by nothing but clear, blue everythings; to empathize with and actually feel the plight of a war-torn country as described by some brilliant writer; that is real writing.
As an art, writing takes hard-core thinking, a will to express, and the patience of a grandmother with 30 grand-babies. Finding words to convey such beautiful thoughts that extend to the very core of your reader’s emotions, thinking, and passions is the exact moment where the words meet the art.
“Let me live, love, and say it well in good sentences”
― Sylvia Plath
